Dangerous Landscapes: Re-Thinking Disaster Risk Management in Low-Income Communities

I presented some of my PhD research at the 2017 Dangerous Landscapes conference, in Hannover, Germany. I argue that the political economy of international aid often leads to the implementation of community based disaster risk reduction programs that strengthen rather than subvert the risk creating status quo.
